Dr Raftery have worked in the NHS for 43 years, initially as a trainee doctor and latterly as a Consultant for 29 years. He has spent 37 years in the specialty of Renal Medicine.
He was Clinical Director of a large Clinical group for over 16 years and managed a staff of 700 and a budget of £70 million.
He has a distinguished research record being author or co-author in 93 publications in peer reviewed journals and over 250 Abstracts presented at National and International Conference.
GKF was founded by those who have gone through the traumatic experience of renal diseases and are aware of the effects it can have on not only the patients but also on their loved ones.
